We took a trip up from Pennsylvania where we live in the US, to Bruce Peninsula National Park over the Labor Day weekend. While passing through, we chanced to pick up your signal. You are about the best ever smooth jazz station I've encountered. We started to lose you just before we crossed back into the US at Buffalo.

I love your station . I listen to it whenever possible, the only problem is the signal isnt strong enough for me to listen at home and in the car it fades out before I make it home. I listen to it while I am on the computer , then I have no problems.

GUys: From day 1 when I heard you I loved it especially b'cause you don't "TALK" as much crap as the other stations- trying 2B funny, etc.....less talk is GOOD....please don't stop this....just play music with bare minimum talking - however my only criticism is that from ALL the contemporary Jazz artists surely you can extend your play list to include other artists and give MESA, KENNY G, AL JARREAU, ALEXANDER Z, ROBIN THICKE, WARREN HILL, HUGE GROOVE a rest - guys you have to mix things up more EVERYDAY these named artists get played morning, noon & night - play really old and new releases from VARIOUS artists and keep mixing them up so u dont become so predictable....PLEASE....let me know how you feel about my comment....TX and keep up the good work....strive 2B AWESOME!!!

As I live in Australia, I can only listen online. I have just tuned into the Dave Koz Radio Show 10mins ago (9.50pm Sun AEST) and I find that the show has already started!!!!! Is it not supposed to start until 8am Local Time??? Well it was already going at 7.50am Local Time and that means that I will have to listen tonight to the replay. I'm a little annoyed, sorry.

I absolutely love this station. Started listening in the early fall last year and have not turned off the radio since. I keep it on even when I am sleeping or not at home. Can you imagine me turning during my sleep and hearing my favorite singer Al Jarreau? Wow! Can't want it better than that. Got to meet Gary James the day of the Jazz awards, he's cool. Sorry I missed Vicki on Sunday at the jerk fest. When I arrived she had just finished her stint. Keep up the good work and let the music play on, play on, play on.

I love your choices of music and it is my number one station that I listen to all day. I drive for much of my workdays and the radio is always tuned in to 94.7. My country home is on Georgian Bay near Midland, and I would wish that the station could be heard better in that area; maybe one day soon. I absolutely love your station and all the music you play!! After growing up from the sixtys, disco, and rock n' roll, I have music that I never knew I would like as much as I do. It is relaxing, yet won't put you to sleep. I hear music from the original artists, and then remakes that are just as good, if not better. I hear new music ( Like a lion, James Bryan) that is just as good as any new song from todays artists. My 19 year old daughter loves your music as much as she loves todays artists. Your DJs don't shout, or talk loud and fast. I don't know if I am growing old or what, but your station is perfect for me and my family. Keep up the good work!!

Love your station! Why is Wave not part of the Rogers Digital Cable music stations? It would be great way to extend your reach with great reception. The Galaxie Smooth Jazz station programming is poor. It would be great to have a real smooth jazz station.

I'm a regular listener, Top Ten voter, and sometimes advertiser on the Wave. I am very disappointed not to have heard any of Corinne Bailey Rae's new music, and yet you still play her older music fairly regularly. I agree with an earlier poster that Sade's new music is dark, and almost depressing to listen to. I hope that the new Sarah McLachlan single Loving You Is Easy will make your playlist, and soon. It deserves to be your No. 1!

Sandborn's "Comin Home Baby' sounds very plageristically like Wes Montgomery's "Up and at it " I first heard 'Up and at It' on Cannonball Adderley's album 'Accent on Africa' ....sounds like a rip-off to me. I have loved Sade for years with her first CD and still play it all the time but I must say I'm very dissappointed with her new CD, which I was anxiously awaiting. It sounds dark almost too sad and her hit song is just too military sounding, not the smooth jazz sound that we all love. She is very talented and I hope she comes out with a more hip and jazzier CD next time. Something to get your feet moving and feel good sound. Just my thoughts

Love your station, listen all the time, all day, all evening. There's a song that will make me run to turn the radio to another station though. I can't believe this has even been deemed worthy enough to record. It sounds AWF UL Window Seat by Erykah Badu - sounds like someone's got a slow grip on her vocal cords while she's trying to sing and its painful for her and for me.....just awful. One of the worst recordings I have ever heard in my life, - no wait - there was Tiny Tim - he was worse.

As an avid fan of both the Wave and smooth jazz, I would like to extend huge congratulations and big thanks to everyone that made the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards a great success! The Old Mill post party was off the wall with our very own Robert Tardik (Guitarist of the Year) and Carson Freeman (Wind Instrumentalist of the Year) jamming on stage with the greats of Peter White, Marc Antoine and Greg Adams. I also had the pleasure of hearing Paul Lamoureux (Toronto based fabulous saxman) also jam with the best of the best! Paul even does his own vocals on his latest CD appropriately named "Decaf Life". Truly a multi-talented artist and Canadian! Love your station. My husband and I love all the songs we hear from your radio station and we make it a point that our 6 months old baby, Sofia, listens to your station every night. I just wanted to tell you how we totally absolutely without question enjoyed Michael Kaeshammer last night at Brock Univ. - what a talented young man and all round entertainer!!! I don't know who the bass player & drummer were but they were terrific too!! It was an awesome evening and we thank you for picking my name to win tickets - along with other vip members! I have to tell you, also, that back a few months ago we went to the Ancaster Fair and chatted with the young man who was manning the wave 94.7 table (I forget his name!).....we met him again last evening at Brock.....what a nice guy - I've stopped at other radio station booths and not found anyone as sociable, polite and pleasant as him. He chatted last night for a few minutes with my husband and I and I thought you'd want to know that he does wave 94.7 proud!!

I discovered your station lately and I like the soft rock, R&B, and funk that is played. I have been a jazz musician for over 30 years. What I find anoying is that you keep calling all of this music "jazz". It is not jazz at all. Just because music has a trumpet or sax does not mean that it's jazz. Jazz has a swing beat to it. You're not the only station to do this but I hope that you will be the first to stop trying to pass this easy-listening smooth rock off as jazz.

I came across your station by accident approximately 2 months ago while seeking a new station on my car radio. In spite of it being a weak broadcast compared to other local stations, I continued to listen. I haven't tuned out since! Now that it is a stronger broadcast is even better. Thanks! I just completed the introductory questionnaire and neglected to check off listening at work through this site as our company blocks all streaming so I didn't think I could listen, but I was pleasantly surprised that I can in fact listen to the music while I work which is great!

I am absolutely ecstatic. I can now finally play Wave 94.7 on my radio at work and home. Prior to the last signal increase, I could only hear it in the car or on the web, since about 2002. I consider myself a young 55 years of age. My taste in music is quite wide, but Wave 94.7 creates such a soothing environment. My first exposure to Wave music stations was in Florida and New Jersey, going back to around 1989. When this style finally came to Toronto, again I was ecstatic. I also thought comments on the economy by the owner was excellent; a much needed relief in what were darker times. And I do support your advertisers. Everywhere I live, I always find jazz radio station. Jazz music is becoming part of my soul and it is just perfectly suit my soul at anytime and at any mood. Well, I love disco music too...but somehow related to my mood. There are two jazz radio stations that I feel best to my opinion in terms of the taste of music that they are playing. One in San-Francisco, California, KBLX and another one is in Hamilton, Ontario which is Wave 94.7. Keep up great works guys...!. I love smooth jazz Wave with all my heart. One of the best radio stations ever. I have been a fan for many years. I work in Oshawa and my ride to work from Toronto to Pickering is very relaxing but then I can not get the station after Pickering. Please do something. There are a lot of listeners on the other side. And last but not least how come Wave does not support local artist. I call and ask for local artists that do smooth jazz and some times they tell me that they don’t know the artist while I have already heard a song or two from that same artist. LET’S SUPPORT OUR OWN. Was introduced to the original KTWV 94.7 Los Angeles when living there some 20 years ago and despite the shift to all smooth jazz it's still my favorite format...but you guys do it better by keeping the ad breaks less invasive. Just got back this weekend from JazzFest near Philly where Peter White & Mindi Abair opened the festival; such an incredible duo words canniot explain! Saw the incredible Brian Culbertson who masters the keyboards and sax on Saturday - I am still in awe!!! The guy is phenomenal! i love your station. unfortunately i can only listen at home because your defaul online radio will only open in MS windows media player and our company as well as many others block windows media player. can you please ask you IT to allow the user to select which player to use. itunes, real player or as many other online radio stations have done they use a generic online player to open. why does your company want to record my IP address?

I was only recently introduced to your station and I just love your music, the DJ's and even the commercials. Thank goodness, you guys don't do that regular radio DJ loud voice routine. You're all I listen to; keep up the great work. Just one request... please play more of the real jazz artists, like Stan Formin, Jeff Lorber, Richard Elliot, Gerald Albright, Brian Culbertson, along those lines. The top 40 artists like Commodores, Al Green, etc. never planned to be heard on a jazz station, so let's keep it that way. I'm not apurist, yet like to stay true to the form, and would stay tuned instead of switching to my mp3 player whenever I hear top 40. I'm very pleased to be able to add Taste of Kingsway to my 'list' of types of venues I've seen Alfie Zappacosta perform. For me it was the perfect place for a reunion with my dear friend Lois. The rain clouds parted when Alfie performed and it was very special to hear the 'Dream Team' perform: Claudio Venna, Slivio Pupo Mentero and HIMSELF. I sensed (to put it mildly) that Alfie has a fantastic, very supportive fan base on Toronto/Ontario area, as people seem to travel from far afield to support and enjoy his music. It was very nice to see Bob Farrow and thanks Bob for a wonderful intro and Wave 94.7fm for supporting fantastic Smooth Jazz music at the Taste of Kingsway and promoting such great acts on both Friday evening and Saturday. Pretzel Logic provided a great 'step back in time' moment for a lot of people who were dancing in the area between the stage and seats. Even people in the apartments across the road were rocking! I had to pinch myself that I was really there because I'd heard from Lois how great it is. Keep up the great work. Warm regards, Bev

Before having to do a 'Recovery' on my system there was never a problem. Is there a 'streaming download' I should have specific to ??? I love your station. Unfortunately I am unable to get your station on the radio when I am home. I have to get it on the net. The frequency does not come in at my house for some unknown reason. A few months ago I heard you play an instrumental version of "I try" and have been listening ever since to find out who the artist is - I would love to buy the CD. I really miss your radio station. I lived in Signal Hill and Long Beach for many years. Once I moved here to Las Vegas I was totally lost without my 94.7 Wave everyday. We have a smooth jazz station here but I really missed the DJ's. I am now listening to you on line and I hope I will be able to continue to listen. I LOVE this radio programme. Since moving from the Tampa Bay area, where they had some awesome New Age radio stations, there hasn't been much in the way of jazz/new age in this area... Wave is on 30 hours a day and while the kids find it a little generationally challenged... I find them to be missing the finer points of life here in Niagara by not tuning in and turning on to WAVE!!! thanks! Gary Anderson

Listeners, if you didn't get to the 5th Annual Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards show, then you really must mark your calendar for next year, the date for which has already been set. The artists, the sound, the venue and the very professional production of the whole show as nothing short of brilliant. One might even go as far to say snow storms couldn't have kept me away (because they literally didn't). I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with my good friends from Toronto. I travelled from New Zealand (via BC) and wouldn't have missed it. It was very special meeting many of those who I've only known by name i.e. Mary Kirk, Bob Farrow, Vicky Van Dyke, Alex Zonjic (whose CD I was very pleased to 'win' a copy of!!) Thanks Alex. To whom it may concern I just spoke to a Mrs. M. Kirk by accident. See I was looking for a specific song that was played and I mistook her for a DJ. In our brief conversation with a polite and warm voice she let me know I was calling Canada and she wasn’t a DJ. Nonetheless I was shocked because I reside in Southern California. To cut the story short, I love the music! You guys really help me get through my day. I work at one of the major level one-trauma centers (hospital) in Southern Cal. Also being a young (twenty-something) male some of my colleagues expect me to listen rap and hip-hop all day. You guys again are awesome! Please keep up the good work. I love your station and I love jazz music. I was really happy to hear that Hamilton finally decided to get a jazz music station a number of years ago. Over the Labour Day weekend I met another member of the Wave Crew; Bob Farrow and his family and today I finally matched the voice to the name and to the face. It is nice when you can listen to a voice on the airwaves and place a name and face to it and realize that hey, I know that voice. This will encourage me to listen to your station more often and the fact that the station is just a couple of blocks away from my residence makes it a community interest for me. I'm pretty disappointed. I have never had trouble listening to the Wave 94 in the past. Last time I tried to listen I was required to update to Windows Media 11 or whatever and now I can't listen any more because I get an error message. No help anywhere that I can see. I updated the drivers, etc. and still no luck. Windows Media plays other files just fine.

I feel that you could play a lot more of the up and coming stars (i.e. more current) as opposed to the "heavy" list of oldies (mostly vocals) that you play. I completely agree with the comments of Felix from Mississauga, Ontario, dated August 2, 2007. The new web site design is inferior to the one it replaced. Your mandatory request to record IP address is a ridiculous and intrusive requirement. Whose idea was this? In addition, the use of one's birthdate as a pass code for the VIP Listener Club is again ridiculous and intrusive, as it repeatedly exposes ones' personal information to potential hackers. Streaming by Telnet Communications for on-line listeners is terrible, it is often non existent or intermittent at best even for high speed users. GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS WEB SITE DESIGN it was SUPERIOR to the current design and was definitely a cut above the rest. The current design lacks sophistication and is technically flawed.

Don't like your new web design. All you did was to load it up with commercials to make more money. It is also technically flawed and not well thought out. Bring back to old design and go back to the drawing board and try to answer the question: what's the purpose of a radio station web site? Think deeply and not just listen to all those fancy stories of your web designer. BTW, you're the first web in the thousands of webs that I posted that requires permmsion to record IP adddres. This stupid and intrusive requirement further reinforce my view that you should go back to the drawing board.
