It's time to get ready for the Mississauga MS Chapter's 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic at the Royal Ontario Golf Club presented by AtlasCare! On Tuesday, September 14th join us for lunch, an afternoon of great golf and a delicious dinner with a chance to win some terrific raffle prizes and bid on some super silent auction items. Mississauga Fall Festival

The Museums of Mississauga in partnership with the City of Mississauga Recreation & Parks Department – Environmental Section and Doors Open Mississauga invite everyone to join us for the 2010 Mississauga Fall Festival– ‘Get back to simple living’. This fun, family event will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Bradley Museum, 1620 Orr Road. Enjoy the lovely rustic setting of historic gardens and buildings, including Bradley House (1830s), and the Log Cabin at Bradley Museum. Featuring 2 stages of non-stop Folk Music. Displays and activities from over thirty different environmental organizations will give you new ideas for “living green”. Horse and wagon rides through the park, historic demonstrations, interactive seminars in the log cabin through out the weekend and great food round off the day! Admission is free as part of Doors Open Mississauga. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for local Food Banks, or a suggested $2 donation. Community Environment Alliance will also be on site, as part of the award winning Share-IT program to collect used computers and cell phones for underprivileged families. In addition, don’t miss our current exhibit featured in the Anchorage, ‘Port Credit 175'. The Museums of Mississauga are owned and operated by Recreation and Parks, City of Mississauga, with support from the Friends of the Museums of Mississauga. Hope in High Heels Walk Event

Halton Women's Place presents its 1st Annual Hope in High Heels Event that has men walking in high heels to show their support in ending violence against women. Halton Women's Place is the only women's shelter in Halton and has 2 facilities that in total, operate 52 beds on a daily basis. Last year, more than 800 women and 1000 children came to use the services. This event will start with registration at 9:30am and the walk will begin at 10:30am. Emma's will provide a free BBQ lunch for all participants and locak band, PleasingMary will perform live! The Terry Fox Run (30th Anniversary)

When Terry Fox recognized that he would not be able to complete his Marathon of Hope for cancer research in 1980, he bequeathed his mission to his fellow Canadians and The Terry Fox Run began. In keeping with the approach of its founder, the Run is a volunteer-led event, all-inclusive, non-competitive, with no pre-registration, entry fees or fundraising minimums.
